One email when something actually happens to the lunar time standard: a document is published, a body votes, a date moves. No digest of nothing, and no clock values in your inbox — those live on this site.
What you get
Each issue covers what changed and where we read it: a new resolution or memorandum, a change on the adoption tracker, a paper that moves the argument, or a date that shifted. Every claim in the brief carries the same sourcing rule as the site — if there is no document behind it, it is not in the email.
The brief goes out when there is something worth reporting, at most weekly. In a quiet month you may hear nothing at all. That is the intended behaviour, not a fault: this subject moves in steps, and inventing steps to fill a schedule would make the brief worthless.
Subscribe
Enter your address and we send one message asking you to confirm. Nothing else arrives until you open the link in it.
By subscribing you ask us to send you the Lunar Time Brief and nothing else. The confirmation link works for 48 hours; after that it stops working and no mail is sent.
Where your address is kept
Your address goes into one subscriber list, newsletter@mail.lunartime.org, hosted at Mailgun, the service that sends this mail for us. It is stored there and nowhere else: this site is a set of static files and has no database of its own.
We keep your address, the state of your subscription (waiting for confirmation, or confirmed) and the moment you asked for it. We do not ask for a name, we do not track opens or clicks in the mail, and we never sell, rent or pass the list to anyone. If you never confirm, the entry stays unconfirmed and receives nothing.
How to unsubscribe
Every message we send carries an unsubscribe link, including the confirmation message, and that link never expires. Opening it deletes your address from the list — it is removed, not moved to a column marked unsubscribed — and we send one short message saying so. After that we hold nothing about you.
If something went wrong
The confirmation link says it no longer works. Confirmation links expire after 48 hours, and a link that was already used, or that got broken by a mail client wrapping it across two lines, will not work either. Nothing is lost: enter your address in the form above again and a fresh link arrives.
The form sent you back here. Then we could not read the address you typed — a missing dot in the domain and a stray space are the usual causes — or we could not hand the message to Mailgun at that moment. Neither case subscribes you to anything. Try again; if it keeps happening, the fault is ours.
The message has not arrived. Give it a few minutes, then look in the spam folder. Confirmation mail comes from newsletter@mail.lunartime.org.
